We Care runs “The Debutantes of Central Massachusetts” Program to educate and inspire the personal growth of young ladies who live within the Central Massachusetts area and to introduce them into society. The program offers a series of workshops, community activities, cultural events and college tours that will serve to broaden the Debutantes horizons and stimulate positive growth.
The Debutante Program’s primary purpose is to inspire academic excellence, introduce financial management, foster volunteerism and provide scholarship opportunities. The Program works with inner city youth as a support mechanism to grow and develop. We facilitate banking and credit training, college preparation, career development, financial literacy, and health and wellness. The Debutantes have participated in college tours at Harvard University, MIT, Northeastern University, UMASS Amherst, and Boston College. Participants have matriculated in colleges including UMASS Amherst, UMASS Dartmouth, Temple University, Princeton, Harvard, and Worcester State College to name a few. Scholarship Recipients have attended UMASS Dartmouth, Rhode Island College, Georgia State University, Quinsigamond Community College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
All workshops take place between the months of November and June. A final schedule will be published to those young ladies who have enrolled in the Debutante Program.
Debutante Workshops Topics Include: Etiquette Training, College Preparatory, Women’s Health Today, Religion 101, Dance Lessons, Service Project, Basics in Banking/Careers Workshop, Girl’s Night Out and many more.

"Parents and teachers have seen grades go up, children making it to the honor roll, and reading comprehension and math confidence rising. All are signs that even a little bit of help can boost a child to a place of confidence and success."
